Akasil® Antifoam TG 30: Technical-grade antifoam solution

An off-white liquid, this technical-grade antifoam is a cost-effective, high-performance product boasting the latest in foam-kill technology for susceptible aqueous industrial systems. This commonly includes water treatment and detergency.

Wherever there’s a risk of an undesirable generation of foam (perhaps as a result of chemical, biological or physical effects), this product is specially developed to keep your pipelines, pumps and process routes clear, free flowing and operating at optimal efficiency.

With low surface tension, Akasil® Antifoam TG 30 disperses easily in both hot and cold aqueous systems, requiring only mild agitation for complete dispersion in the foaming media.

For maximum efficiency, we recommend pre-dilution with water before use. A ratio of Akasil® Antifoam TG 30 : cool soft/deionised water of 1:4 is suitable. For optimal results, the antifoam mixture should be used within 12 hours of having been diluted. In general, between 0.01 and 0.5g/L of antifoam is sufficient.
