Overview.
Airsurf APG 0814 is a biodegradable surfactant as the glucose component of the product is derived from renewable plant materials. This makes the product a green alternative to nonyl phenol ethoxylates and alcohol ethoxylates.
APGs are compatible with other surfactants, have low toxicity and are safe for sensitive skin, which allows them to be widely used in cosmetics and personal care products. They also posses good foaming and wetting properties and low surface tension.
Decyl glucoside is produced by the reaction of glucose from corn starch with the fatty alcohol decanol which is derived from coconut.
