Antifoaming agents are additives used in manufacturing processes to prevent and suppress the wasteful formation of foam. They are suitable for any environment where excess foam is not desirable and stable water conditions are required for optimal efficiency.

These chemical agents are ideal for use in detergency, food production and many other contexts. Your antifoam needs might also cover pulp and paper production, pharmaceutical processes, wastewater treatment or the many other industrial environments where foam is generated.

We offer a complete range of high-performance antifoaming agents in two formats — TG and FD — at a number of emulsion strengths (10%, 20% and 30%).

We also supply antifoam chemicals to suit other specialist needs, including for refinery operations, textiles processes as well as alkali and acid-resistant solutions.

• Technical grade (TG range) antifoams are lower spec chemistry, suitable for use in water treatment and detergency applications. They have very low surface tension, spreading quickly and easily in hot and cold aqueous systems and requiring only mild agitation. By occupying openings, these water-soluble emulsions cause the foam wall to thin and collapse.
• Food approved antifoams (FD range) are suitable for any process waters where certain considerations apply, such as food processing (but not directly for use in food production).
